Divergence – a two-person show in May 2024 Featuring Mary Gorman and Teri Homick

 

“Two roads diverged in a narrow wood” writes Robert Frost in his well-known poem “The Road Not Taken." Divergence is a point at which one of two different directions is selected. For an artist, this selection may be a result of a painting style or a conscious decision. Gallery 113’s two featured painters in May perfectly embody the soul of “divergence.” Teri Homick's mixed media work is dark, mysterious, and moody in color and subject matter while Mary Gorman’s paintings on silk have the ethereal quality of fresh laundry blowing in the wind on a sunny day.
