Wendy Iaconis

Wendy has focused her passion on artistic and functional wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery for over 20 years.  Her pieces express a simple and delicate touch reflective of the very earth from which they are shaped.  Wendy finds joy and inspiration turning a ball of clay into an artistic vessel that someone will use and enjoy.

 

Outside of her studio, located in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Wendy has an ongoing connection with the community. These connections include private throwing lessons, summer workshops for elementary aged children and volunteering with clay workshops/classes at local schools.

 

Wendy received her BFA with a focus on ceramics and photography and continues to refine her pottery skills at workshops and conferences around the country and internationally.  She participates in regional art shows, is a participant in the Art All Around Studio Tour, has been a member of the Pikes Peak Studio Tour and her work is continually on display at several galleries in the Pikes Peak Region.
